about
Bristol-based punk band, The Run Up will release their second full-length record In Motion on October 3rd.
Featuring singer Larry Bernhard, guitarists Charlie Parsons and Lawrence Nelson, bassist Daniel Baker, and drummer Stu Lloyd (The Social Club, The Attika State, The Remnants, The Lovesicks), The Run Up formed as friends in their hometown of Bristol in 2014.
The band made their full-length debut with 2017’s Self Titled, which placed them firmly on the radar as One to Watch across the punk rock scene. Arriving in 2018, their second studio release Good Friends, Bad Luck was praised as “EP of the Year” by Colins Punk Rock World and had the band dubbed “one to dominate the scene” by Shout Louder.
Their heard-touring approach to being a band has seen them carve out a strong reputation in the European scene, as one of the best bands live based on the basis of their fun, energetic and passionate shows which are often sweaty, high tempo and full of fist-pumps, singalongs, and crowd surfing.
The extent of their touring has led to the band playing over 150 shows across 12 countries in two years, sharing the stage/tour bus with Such Gold, A Wilhelm Scream, Off With Their Heads, Spanish Love Songs, Iron Chic and Red City Radio.
With their roots and hearts still firmly in the DIY scene, The Run Up are progressing to become one of the most exciting bands on the punk rock scene.
